I am Associate Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Biostatistics, School of Public Health at Brown University. My research interests are statistical analysis of brain images, multivariate analysis of high dimensional data and Bayesian analysis of large data.
I received my PhD in statistics at North Carolina State University under the supervision of Sujit Ghosh. My dissertation was on semi-parametric likelihood based methods for independent component analysis and constrained density estimation via a modified EM algorithm.
I graduated from the Yerevan State University in 2004 where I received B.S. degree in applied mathematics and computer science. I worked with Yuri Hakopian on numerical methods for a special class of matrices.
